Description
English: Photo taken by Daniel Mayer in June 2005. Edited using the GIMP.
The following is the en:Chinle Formation sequence (the sequence found in Capitol Reef NP)-(3-subunits?). The Chinle is framed between the upper cliff of en:Wingate Sandstone, and the deep red en:Moenkopi Formation. (Note: The "M", is probably "Monitor Butte Member", but "Moss Back Member" (above it, resistant sandstone, has Uranium).)
