Summary

Description	Chissay-en-Touraine (Loir-et-Cher) Eglise Saint-Saturnin (XVe, XVIe et XVIIe siècles). L'église se trouve au centre de l'ancien village. On en trouve trace dans des écrits datant de 1150. Elle a subit de nombreuses transformations. L'église, qui appartenait depuis au moins 1156 à l'abbaye de Villeloin, a été reconstruite aux XVe et XVIe siècles par Pierre Bérard, trésorier de France sous Charles VII (1446-1465) et ses descendants seigneurs de Chissay. La nef et la chapelle nord sont du XVe.Le choeur et la chapelle sud datent du XVIe. Le porche est du XVIIe. La tourelle d'escalier est appuyée contre le mur nord. La travée centrale date du deuxième quart du XVIe. L'église a pour particularité de ne pas avoir de clocher. Les cloches ont donc été placées dans le comble du choeur, côté nef. Les cloches se nomment Marie-Louise installée en 1816 et Marie-Madeleine installée en 1897.
