Ismertető szöveg: Egyik képünk Hedint öt magyar ázsiai utazó társaságában mutatja be – ritka alkalom, hogy hat a nagy kontinensnek igen különböző helyeit kutató búvár összekerüljön s alig hiszem, hogy másutt ezt együtt találta volna. A kép közepén Vámbéry Ármin az ázsiai török népek világhírű kutatója ül, a kit Hedin Sven tanítómesterének vall, hiszen első utazásából visszatérve, mint 19 éves ifjú először is Vámbéryhez sietett s ő is írta meg első munkájához az előszót. Vámbérytől balkézfelől ül Hedin Sven, jobbra pedig dr. Lóczy Lajos, a gróf Széchenyi Béla ázsiai expedicziójának tudós geológusa, jelenleg a Tudomány-Egyetemen a földrajz tanára. Mögötte áll adjunktusa és hű tanítványa, dr. Cholnoky Jenő, a ki másfél évet töltött Khinában és Mandsuországban 1897-ben és 1898-ban. Mellette Almássy György borostyánkői földbirtokos képe látszik, a ki majd egy évet töltött zoológiai és ethnikai kutatásokkal Belső- Ázsia legvadabb helyein, a Khan Tengri 7000 méter magas csúcsa körűl, a Tien-San bérczei közt. Utazásának leírását most adja ki a Természettudományi Társulat pompás díszműben. Végűl Hedin mögött áll a Kaukázus kitűnő ismerője, elsőrangú kutatója és első fotografálója, Déchy Mór, a kitől a "Vasárnapi Ujság" már több érdekes kaukázusi közleményt adott.
