Summary
[edit]DescriptionChornobil.jpg |
English: The map shows the results of a retrospective analysis of the transformation of shallow habitats of the Chernobyl NPP cooling reservoir caused by the its descent (2014-2020) and a graph of corresponding changes in the floristic and coenotic structure of the phytal. After the shutdown of the last power unit, the reservoir lost its functional purpose. At the end of 2014, the pumping of water from the Pripyat River stopped, the water level began to decrease, and in the summer of 2018 the area of the cooling reservoir was reduced by half. This visualization is based on the analysis and interpretation of data from remote sensing of the earth - space images Landsat-8 for 2014 and Sentinel-2 from 2015 to 2020. Maps and corresponding areas of habitats were obtained as a result of classification of space images by the method of artificial neural networks according to verification standards selected during ground research. The general picture of overgrowth of newly formed shallow waters shows features of anthropogenic eutrophication. |
