Although source claims the photos to be taken in circa 1938 (which still qualifies for an expired copyright as of 2013), the possible date of creation could be earlier. As contemporary sports Hungarian newspaper Tennisz és golf II (Budapest, Hungary: Bethlen Gábor Irod. és Nyomdai RT) 7: 105. (April 12, 1930) reports Van Lennep wasn't an active player in 1930 any more. This puts the photo at most to 1930, when Timmer was already a 26-year old player by that time, which this photo implies (rather than 34).
