Summary[edit]

Description Christmas card with a boy, girl, dog, cat, and the metaphorical "Hands of God." The phrase "bide a wee" (stay a while) was then in vogue.
Date It most likely dates to late 1921. Martin and others signed a contract to design cards for William Edwin Rudge in 1921.
The contract was reproduced in The Daily Argus, Dec 3, 1921 (picture section). More at "Other information."
Source A greeting card by the printing plant William Edwin Rudge. It was located on Bradford Road in Mount Vernon, N.Y.
Immediate source: from my collection. Another copy might not exist. Mrs. Martin saved and passed the card down the family line.
