Description

The idyll deceives. On both sides of the Rhine is fired. The 90 m long bridge from 2015 belongs to the army and connects two parts of the large military training area in Chur.

There are people who would like to redesign the landscape into a water landscape. But the army has intensified the usage of the terrain, and does not intend to withdraw.

The relatively new bridge is a single-span Delta Bridge from Mabey Bridge in UK without inter-pillars, and has often been used in disaster areas around the world. It was the first time that it was delivered to Europe. The bridge system has been installed under the direction of the manufacturer with swiss soldiers of the Disaster Relief Association (Kata Hi Ber Vb) and bridge-tank crews from July 13 to August 7, 2015. It has a load capacity of 40 tons.
