Summary[edit]

Description
English: The Clarence Bryant House, 591 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo, New York, March 2020. Erected in 1899, this flat-roofed Colonial Revival mansion - with its monumental bowed Corinthian-Tuscan portico - was the home of Clarence L. Bryant (1852-1927), who, in partnership with his father in the firm of J. C. Bryant & Son, was co-founder and, after his father's 1901 death, president of Bryant & Stratton College, one of the foremost for-profit business institutes in the country at the time. The house was reduced to a shell by an arson fire in February 1996 and spent the next five years in an increasingly dire state of disrepair under the ownership of Pastor Ronald Kirk of Witness Cathedral Church of God in Christ, whose plans to convert it to a music school went unrealized; it was later purchased at auction by TRM Architects and is now fully restored and in use as office space.
