B. Woodcroft (1846-47), p. 362: "For the annexed sketch of this vessel, and her machinery, I am indebted to Joseph C. Dyer, Esq. of Burnage, near Manchester, who was personally acquainted with the late Mr. Fulton, and who has travelled in Clermont.
