Summary
[edit]DescriptionCodonorchis lessonii - Flickr 003.jpg |
Codonorchis lessonii (Brongn.) Lindl. 20081208.4 Parque Nacional Huerquehue, Chile There is only one species in this genus. It is easy to distinguish from other Chilean genera of orchids based on the whorl of three little leaves at mid-stem. It is abundant in the southern-spring throughout southern Chile all the way to Tierra del Fuego. (Begs the question, "how come I don't have any better photos of it, then??", doesn't it?) |
