Description
Superbia als modieus geklede dame, spiegel in de rechterhand, haar linkerhand rustend op de kop van de pauw, haar attribuut. De rok van de japon is opklapbaar. Hieronder haar onderlijf als skelet met Adam en Eva tijdens de zondeval. In omlijsting waarin de personificaties van de andere zes hoofdzonden zijn afgebeeld: Gula, Avaritia, Luxuria, Invidia, Ira, Pigritia (naar Hendrick Goltzius). Titel in cartouche middenboven. Met opschrift: Hoeffart ein Matter aller Sundt...all sein Kindt. Als onderschrift een 8-regelig vers in het Duits.
