Nederlands: Foto 'Een versperring bij de ingang van de woonwijk van werknemers van de Curaçaose Petroleum Industrie Maatschappij (CPIM), kort na het vertrek van de meeste Venezolaanse revolutionairen' Venezolaanse revolutionairen pleegden op zaterdagavond 8 juni 1929 onder leiding van Rafael Simón Urbina en Antonio Machado een overval op het Waterfort in Curaçao. Doel was het buit maken van wapens en munitie waarmee een staatsgreep in Venezuela zou kunnen worden gepleegd. De revolutionairen vertrokken diezelfde nacht nog met het door hen in beslag genomen Amerikaanse schip S.S. Maracaibo naar Venezuela, waarbij ze onder meer gouverneur L.A. Fruytier en garnizoenscommandant Borren als gijzelaar meenamen. Bij aankomst in Venezuela werden de gijzelaars vrijgelaten. De opstand tegen dictator Juan Vicente Gómez mislukte, Urbina en Machado ontkwamen. Op deze foto zien we een versperring bij de ingang van de woonwijk van werknemers van de Curaçaose Petroleum Industrie Maatschappij (CPIM).
