Description

Montréal, Place des Arts

Conçue par le collectif Blackbox, Chimes est une installation lumineuse composée d'un carillon, d'une trentaine de tubes de lumière et de huit haut-parleurs. L'installation qui s'anime aux moindres vacillements du carillon fait référence au principe de la théorie du chaos; un petit geste sur l'environnement ne pouvant qu'impliquer un effet de plus grande envergure. Il suffit alors d'une rafale de vent ou encore d'une interaction avec le public pour que l'atmosphère du lieu se transforme entièrement faisant émerger des motifs lumineux et sonores de façon aléatoire.
