- description side A: Andromeda with hands stretched out, bound to the rock, Hermes, Kepheus, Perseus, Aphrodite, Aithiopian girl, altar; inspired by the tragedy "Andromeda" of Euripides (412 BC); name inscriptions; noteworthy: the name of Hermes is written with initial spiritus asper: cERME_S - production place: Athens - painter: the tiaras of the figures are comparable with the ones on the volute-krater Naples 3240, but the style of drawing is different; not attributed by Beazley (cf. Para 480) - period / date: classical, ca. 400 BC - material: pottery (clay) - findspot: Capua - museum / inventory number: Berlin, Altes Museum (Antikensammlung) F 3237 - bibliography: John D.
