| Description |
Italiano: Dedicata al Santi patroni Cosma e Damiano, fu eretta in stile neoclassico su progetto del marchese Luigi Cagnola. La prima pietra venne posata nel 1810, la chiesa fu aperta al culto nel 1821 e consacrata il 7/5/1899. La facciata si presenta maestosa, con sei grandi colonne ioniche trabeate e un largo frontespizio con due timpani. L'interno è a pianta centrale; sui lati dell'aula, separata dal vestibolo, si aprono 4 altari minori. Il battistero e la cappella di fronte ad esso sono decorati con mosaici di Padre Marko Rupnik, che ha realizzato anche il nuovo altare, l'ambone e la zona del presbiterio. La volta è adornata da un grande affresco di Ponziano Loverini, raffigurante la gloria del Santi Cosma e Damiano. |
