Description

Denise Miller, GIS Specialist, and Kent Cooley, Soil Scientist, along with Matt Odden and Paul Fulton, all with USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Rapid City, SD, presented a Trimble GPS training and hands-on activity at the South Dakota Assoc of Conservation district employees (SDACDE) Leadership Conference held in Rapid City, February 27-28. There was approximately 40 conservation district staff or board members from across the state in attendance during the training session. The conservation district staff or board members in attendance received training on the basics of the Trimble GeoXT handheld and ArcPad software before heading outside to take some points and lines using Quick Projects in the parking lot.
