Summary[edit]

Description
English: A diagram and equation depicting a steady-state cooler. Entering the control volume (the rectangle) is volumetric flowrate V_dot_in at temperature T_in, heat capacity C_p, and density rho. Also entering the control volume is energy flow Q. Departing the control volume is volumetric flowrate V_dot_out at temperature T_out. Constant heat capacity C_p and constant fluid density is assumed. Below the diagram is an energy balance equation assuming the system is at steady state.
