日本語: 日本におけるミズキ科の代表種、ミズキとクマノミズキの枝葉の比較。

左：ミズキ、右：クマノミズキ
両者とも20mを超える成木で林の中でかなり離れた位置に生えていたが上方で枝が対峙していたので比べてみた。

枝はミズキが互生でクマノミズキは対生。葉の広さは似たようなモノだが、ミズキの方が厚みがあり瑞々しい。葉の形はミズキの方が全体的に丸みを帯び、クマノミズキの方が先端が尖っている。中央(更に上方)はエノキ。
