Dans l'article "Sacré Sacre !", les auteurs Sylvie Dancre et Philippe de Lustrac mettent en cause les références ethnologiques du peintre Nicolas Roerich, auteur des costumes et des décors du Sacre, créé en 1913. Celui-ci bénéficiait d'une réputation d'anthropologue compétent sur les pratiques et coutumes des anciens slaves et était le conseiller officiel des ballets russes à ce sujet. Selon eux, N. Roerich, un adepte de la théosophie, a tout inventé en s'inspirant de costumes folkloriques traditionnels et ne possédait aucune compétence scientifique. (Revue Danser, hors série, décembre 2009) |
