(75.88 cm x 25.08 cm) Credit Line: Bequest of Mrs. Cora Timken Burnett Label Copy: "In this suggestively erotic image of a fashionable prostitute, the artist delights in the swaths of checkered fabric of her obi, which she ties in front without assistance. Since her hands are occupied, she clutches in her mouth the tissues used to keep herself clean after each customer.Large vertical prints of this scale were mounted as hanging scrolls for those who were unable to afford paintings. " Label Copy (Spanish): "En esta imagen sugestivamente ertica de una prostituta a la moda, el artista se deleita representando las tiras de tela a cuadros de su obi, el cual anuda de frente sin ayuda.
