«Dos mineiros não resta um único. Que tenham agora a paz porque em vida rolaram tal e qual as pedras de carvão arrancadas a pulso e bagas de suor. Das pequenas casas do bairro, pouco resta do desenho inicial. Filhos e netos acomodaram-se e trataram de as adaptar do modo possível.
