Italiano: Momento della processione del Signore della Città, che si tiene il Venerdì Santo all'interno dei riti della Settimana Santa di Caltanissetta. Al centro, il simulacro dorato, contenente il Cristo Nero, o Signore della Città, antico crocifisso ligneo considerato uno dei santi protettori di Caltanissetta. In basso, in abiti viola, i fogliamara, devoti che portano in processione a spalla il simulacro e cantano le tipiche lamentanze.
English: One moment of the procession of the Signore della Città (Lord of the Town), which is held on Good Friday within the rites of the Holy Week of Caltanissetta, Italy. In the center, the golden simulacrum contains the Cristo Nero ("Black Christ"), or Signore della Città, an ancient wooden crucifix considered one of the patron hallow of Caltanissetta. Below, in purple clothes, the Fogliamara, devotees who carry the simulacrum on their shoulders and sing the typical lamentations. |
