Description
Hrvatski: Tenk M-84
Deutsch: Der Kampfpanzer M-84 aus dem ehemaligen Jugoslawien war eine Weiterentwicklung des russischen T-72A. Er wurde ab 1983 in der Panzerschmiede Đuro Đaković in Slavonski Brod (Kroatien) bis zum Ausbruch des Jugoslawienkrieges mit über 500 Stück für die jugoslawische Armee produziert. Er kam im Jugoslawien Krieg in Gefechten in Slowenien, Kroatien und Bosnien zum Einsatz. Meist wurde er von den Serben und der mit ihnen verbündeten ehemaligen jugoslawischen Bundesarmee eingesetzt. Bei Panzergefechten und in Ortskämpfen wurden viele M-84 sowohl von regulären Truppen sowie von der Miliz vernichtet. Hier stellte sich der M-84 bei Turmtreffern als äußerst verwundbar heraus, die zur Munitionsexplosion führten. Dabei wird die Besatzung getötet und der Turm von der Wanne geschleudert.
