Summary
[edit]DescriptionCromemco trip to China Lake in 1982 (3).jpg |
English: Cromemco equipment loaded in Harry Garland's Cessna 206 (N124WN) for a flight to the Naval Air Weapons Station in China Lake for a presentation there in 1982. Shown is a Cromemco C-10 computer, a 35mm carousel slide projector, television set, and a Cromemco System One (in the suitcase). Dave Mandelkern and Roger Melen joined Harry Garland on the trip from Palo Alto. The United States Navy was a major customer for Cromemco computers in the 1980's, and Cromemco systems were the first commercially marketed microcomputers certified by the U.S. Navy for use aboard ships and Ohio class submarines. |
