Description
English: Image made from a histological preparation of Juniperus sabina L. The histological preparation was performed following the method of Shcweinbruger & Poschlod, in which the unlignified cells show a different color than lignified cells. The picture was captured with a Nikon D90 mounted on a microscope and subsequently edited with IrfanView to improve the contrast. In the image is possible to appreciate the tree-rings borders, tracheid cells and ray parenchyma.
