| Description |
English: Cuba Cultural Center, 38 East Main Street at Church Street, Cuba, New York, October 2020. An exuberant representation of Romanesque Revival ecclesiastical architecture with its round-arched windows, imposing square tower, bulky massing, and corbeled arcades, the building was erected in 1872 as home of the First Presbyterial Church of Cuba, a congregation that got its start in 1827 and was thus the oldest in the village. The congregation dissolved in 2013, and the building is now home to the Cuba Cultural Center, a charitable organization that operates a food bank and administers various other emergency services to the local community. |
