[edit]DescriptionCultural Tradition of Sanggring Chicken Compote.jpg |
English: Kolak Ayam Sanggring was originally made by a resident of Gumeno Village, Manyar District, Gresik Regency, East Java. The uniqueness of this chicken compote is that it is only available once a year, namely on the night of the 23rd of Ramadan and in the process of making this chicken compote it is made by men without involving women. Some residents were willing to stand in line to be able to take chicken compote when the traditional sangring chicken compote event was held at the mosque. Jami' Gumeno Village, Manyar, Gresik, East Java.
The origin of the Kolak Ayam tradition cannot be separated from the story of Sunan Dalem, the second son of Kanjeng Sunan Giri, who built a mosque in Gumeno Village as an effort to spread Islamic symbols. Not long after, the mosque he built, Kanjeng Sunan Dalem, also fell ill in Gumeno Village. Because of his illness, he always consumes seasonings from chicken meat, cumin and various kinds of spice mixtures. This recipe is said to have been given directly by Mbah Kanjeng Sunan Giri through Sunan Dalem's dream, so this recipe continues to be used until it is preserved as the Sanggring Kolak tradition. Chicken.

Ayam. |
