[edit]DescriptionCurtiss N-9 seaplane in flight 1920s.jpeg | A U.S. Navy Curtiss N-9 in flight. The N-9 was a seaplane variant of the Curtiss JN-4 "Jenny" military trainer used during the First World War. As a seaplane, the N-9 was equipped with a single central pontoon mounted under the fuselage. A small float was fitted under each wingtip. Five hundred and sixty were built: 100 by Curtiss, four hundred an ten by Burgess, and 50 by NAS Pensacola from spare parts. |
