Description
English: (Being a distant cousin of Glenn H. Curtiss, My Family & I did some cemetary hopping, viweing Family locations, and took photos. This photo is in the plesant valley cemetary. It Reads: Glenn Hammond Curtiss Born in Hammondsport, N.Y. May 21, 1878 His many accomplishments include: the first water-cooled aeronautical engine; the first seaplane; invention of the first aileron; and the first flying school. After obtaining the first aviator's license, he made the first flight over ocean water, and on May 29, 1901, he made America's first long-distance air trip by flying from Albany to New York City.
