Description
Deutsch: Heratempel in Olympia: Figuren aus dem Westgiebel. Kentaur ein Weib raubend (J, K). Drei Theile dieser Gruppe wurden bereits im März 1877 gefunden und II. 25 abgebildet. Der vierte, welcher die Brust des Kentauren und das Mittelsrück des Weibes umfasst, wurde als erster bedeutenderer Fund der dritten Ausgrabungsperiode am 16. Oct. 1877 gehoben. Er lag 25.80 s. und 6,00 s. von der SW.-Ecke; Entfernung von anderen Theilen der Gruppe c. 50 m. Ein nachträglich angefügtes Hinterschenkelfragment des Kentauren Taf. XXVI—XXVI1 J. Auch von dem angestückten Theile des fein gefalteten Aermels ist ein Fragment erhalten. An die abgespitzte Stelle am Hintertheile des Kentauren lehnte sich der Lapithenschenkel Taf. XJVb, siehe Abschn. III zu H. — Höhe 2 m, Breite 2,35 m.
English: Temple of Hera in Olympia: figures from the west pediment. Centaur robbing a woman (J, K). Three parts of this group were found already in March 1877 and represented 25 II. The fourth, covering the breast of the Centaurs and the average return of the wife was the first significant archaeological discovery of the third period on 16 Oct. 1877 lifted. It was 25.80 sec and 6.00 sec from the SW corner, away from other parts of the group c. 50 m. A subsequent Attached Hinterschenkelfragment the centaur pl.xxvi XXVI1-J Also from the pieced portion of the finely pleated sleeves a fragment is preserved. Abgespitzte to the spot on the stern of the Centaurs leaned Lapithenschenkel PI XJVb, see Section III H - height 2 m, width 2,35 m.
