Čeština: Srovnání formálního a faktického stavu na Kypru:
  • De iure: Kyperská republika je mezinárodně uznávaná jako jediný státní útvar se svrchovanou vládou nad celým středomořským ostrovem Kypr.
  • De facto: V praxi jsou pod správou Kyperské republiky necelé dvě třetiny ostrova, zhruba třetinu ovládá neuznaná Severokyperská turecká republika a mezi nimi je nárazníková zóna OSN.
(Výjimku představují vojenské základny Akrotiri a Dekelia patřící Velké Británii.)
English: Comparison of the formal and factual situation in Cyprus:
  • De iure: The Republic of Cyprus is internationally recognized as the only state unit with sovereign rule over the entire Mediterranean island of Cyprus.
  • De facto: In practice, less than two-thirds of the island is under the administration of the Republic of Cyprus, about a third is controlled by the unrecognized Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and the UN buffer zone is among them.
(The exceptions are the Akrotiri and Dekelia military bases belonging to Great Britain.)
