Summary[edit]

Description

Title: Bottom of a crucible used in Czochralski method

  • Desc: This crucible was used to pull a silicon crystal by Czochralski method. Generaly, the crucible breaks at the end of the process. Some amount of silicon rests always on the bottom after the process. We can also observe a color modification of the crucible and a texture on the crucible walls. This is due to crystallization of quartz.
