[edit]DescriptionDébit réservé.jpg |
English: There are simple systems to ensure a leakage rate proportional to stream flow or water level. The height and angle of the triangle hole regulate the flow, between a minimum and a maximum determined by the manager of the water. Here, in case of flood, the water passes over the dam, and in case of drought, a small reserve of water is stored upstream. If the triangle down below, a mimimum flow would be maintained, but at the risk of draining the upstream portion of the system.
It is a type of small dam useful in alternatives systems of management of stormwater in urban area. There slows stormwater - in waterproof areas - where rain water may abnormaly help swell the flood .. |
