Deutsch: Das DLR-Forschungsflugzeug kam 1976 zum DLR und hat sich in zahlreiche wissenschaftlichen Forschungsmissionen weltweit bewährt. Die wohl bekanntesten Flüge führte das DLR im April 2010 durch, als der Ausbruch des isländischen Vulkans Eyjafjalla große Teile des Luftverkehr über Europa zum Erliegen brachte. In Rekordzeit wurde die Falcon umgerüstet und für den Einsatz über Island, England und Deutschland zugelassen. Als einziges Flugzeug am Himmel machte sich die Falcon zu mehreren Messflügen auf. |
