Deutsch: Wappen der ehemaligen Stadt Kalk seit 1910 Stadtteil von Köln: „Geteilt in Blau und Silber (Weiß); eine silberne (weiße) Kapelle mit Vorbau und Dachreiter, darauf eine goldene (gelbe) Fahne und schwarzen Fenster- und Türöffnungen; auf dem Vorbau ein goldenes (gelbes) Kreuz; unten über einem aus dem Schildfuß wachsenden naturfarbenen Holzklotz, vor einem schwarzen Zahnrad ein schwarzer Amboss, dahinter gekreuzte schwarze Schlägel und Eisen an naturfarbenen Stielen. Im Oberwappen eine fünftürmige rote Mauerkrone.“
Das Wappen zeigt die alte Kalker Kapelle über den Zeichen der Industrie im 19. Jahrhundert (Bergbau, Maschinenbau und Stahlindustrie). English: „Per fess azure und Argent, a porched chapel Argent with ridge turret, thereupon a flag Or; below, an wooden block proper issuant, thereupon a gear and an anvil sable, behind them saltirewise hammer and pick sable with handles proper; a five-topped mural cown gules in the crest.“ The arms show the old Kalk chapel combined with industry tools of the 19th century. |
