Object history
Deutsch: Die Hirschstangen bezeugen den königlichen Wildbann im Südharz im Besitz des Grafengeschlechts der Hohnsteiner. Der 12-teilige Schachschild ist das Familienwappen der Grafen von Hohnstein seit 1182. Das Wappen entspricht nicht den Normen der modernen Heraldik.
