Object history
Deutsch: Das Wappen zeigt den Bergfried der untergegangenen Landesburg Haus Dülmen. Der Wellensparren symbolisiert den Zusammenfluss von Heubach und Kettbach, welche den Ortskern umfließen. Die Gänse stehen für die umfangreiche Gänsehaltung früherer Zeit; belegt wird dies durch Lieferungen von Gänsefedern 1656 an den Bischof von Münster. Heute erinnert der Dorfbrunnen mit Gänsehüterin und Gänsen an diese Geschichte. Die Farben Blau und Gold entstammen dem Wappen der Stadt Dülmen.
