Object history
Deutsch: Der rot gekrönte Mohrenkopf gilt als heraldisches Symbol des Hochstifts Freising und unterstreicht die enge historische Verbindung nach Freising. Ismaning war bis zur Säkularisation 1803 Mittelpunkt der am rechten Isarufer gelegenen Grafschaft Ismaning, die Ludwig der Bayer 1319 dem Freisinger Bischof als weltliches, reichsunmittelbares Herrschaftsgebiet übertragen hatte. Die drei silbernen Rauten im unteren Feld erinnern an den Freisinger Bischof Johann Franz Ecker von Kapfing, der das um 1520 erbaute Ismaninger Schloss 1723 zur fürstbischöflichen Sommerresidenz umgestalten ließ.
