Deutsch: Das von Ihno Schmidt aus Süd-Victorbur entworfene Wappen wurde am 30. April 1975 vom Regierungspräsidenten in Aurich genehmigt. Der Adler war das Wappentier der Häuptlinge tom Brook, welche im 14. und 15. Jahrhundert die Burg im Ortsteil Oldeborg als Herrschaftssitz bewohnten. Die runde Scheibe erinnert an die Goldscheibe von Moordorf, die im März des Jahres 1910 von Vitus Dirks beim Torfgraben gefunden und zunächst in ihrem Wert nicht erkannt worden ist. Die zehn umrahmenden Schindeln weisen auf die Ortsteile Bedekaspel, Forlitz-Blaukirchen, Moordorf, Moorhusen, Münkeboe, Oldeborg, Theene, Uthwerdum, Victorbur und Wiegboldsbur hin. |
