Deutsch: „Unter rotem Schildhaupt, darin an goldenem (gelbem) Rebast eine Traube und ein Blatt, blau-goldenes (gelbes) fünfreihiges Schach, zu je fünf Feldern.“
English: “A chief gules charged with a vine branch Or with a grape and a leave, chequy azure and Or of five, each with with five fields.”
Deutsch: Der Rebast steht für den Weinbau, das Mainzer Rad symbolisiert die frühere Zugehörigkeit zu Kurmainz und das Sponheimer Schach steht für die frühere Zugehörikeit zur Vorderen Grafschaft Sponheim.
English: The arms show a vine branch as sign for the well known viticulture and the symbols of the former rulers of the district. The wheel of Mainz symbolises the former belonging to the Electorate of Mainz and the chequy field of the Lower County of Sponheim.
