Description
Nederlands: Spijkenisse uitzicht vanaf de Marrewijkflat naar het noordoosten, naar de plek waar in de toekomst het stadscentrum zou komen. Vooraan de Marrewijklaan (die toen de verbindingsweg was tussen het centrum en Groenewoud, hij liep toen dus nog dóór na de huidige Raadhuislaan die er toen nog niet was), dan een groot weiland met koeien en links daarvan een grasveld, waar omheen struiken staan, dat in de volksmond "Tranendal" werd genoemd. Op dit weiland en het Tranendal zou enkele jaren later de bouw van het omvangrijke Stadscentrum beginnen. Links van het Tranendal is het oude centrum met bebouwing aan het Rademacherplein en de Voorstraat. Rechts de rode daken van het Noordeinde en de Molenwei met aan het eind molen Nooitgedacht. Rechts dáár weer van, links van de Spijkenisserbrug, de industrie langs het laatste deel van de haven, met onder andere de silo's van de Betonfabriek. Aan de horizon fabrieken op de Botlek; in het midden ervan is de Botlekbrug te zien.
