Summary
[edit]DescriptionDSRV II - AVALON.jpg |
English: Parked near Yanks Air Museum, Chino Airport (CNO), California. Is this the same DSRV on display at Morro Bay, California, or a model built for a Hollywood movie? DSRV-2 Avalon, built for the US Navy, is a crewed Deep Submergence Rescue Vehicle able to dive to 5000 feet. Although it never had to be used for its purpose, it was designed to rescue crew from a submarine unable to surface. |
