Description

The daibutsu (a large statue of Buddha) of Kamakura, located in the Kotoku-in temple and built around 1252. Kamakura was the feudal capital of Japan. This daibutsu is one of the most famous icons of Japan and stands 13.35 meters tall and weighs 121 tons.
