Notes This print commemorates the rebuilding of the Grand Shrine of Ise in 1869. It is similar to a woodblock print designed by Utagawa Kuniyoshi, perhaps to commemorate the rebuilding of the shrine in 1849 (compare 2008.3037,21409). The two designs may have been based on the same original illustration.
