Beautiful Mughal Miniature Painting

This magnificient painting, a masterpiece from the Jahangir Nama, is a brilliant depiction of a fully orchestrated Mughal Darbar (kings court). Here Emperor Jahangir is presenting himself to his courtiers and envoys who are shown in a formal rigid arrangement. Joining him on a special balcony are his son Shah Jahan and grandson Shah Shuja.

The artist has captured in great detail and care the people, animals and architecture of a mughal court.

This is Mughal art at its finest and the next best thing to the original. The handmade reproduction of the original which was executed in AD 1620, has been brilliantly achieved with use of meticulous brushwork and fine watercolors, ink and gold.

The painting is done on paper and is 7 in. wide and 11 in. tall. (18 cms X 28 cms)
