Colonel Samuel Davis, Leicestershire Volunteers died in Hinckley 4th February 1897 aged 64
Husband of Sarah Ann of High Field House, Hinckley. He was a J.P. and a Hosiery Manufacturer
his son, Edgar Crofts Davis, Lieutenant, 1st Leicestershire Regiment, Born 22nd August 1869 and died in the Registration District of Bakewell, Derbyshire 17th November 1896 aged 27. He played cricket for Rossal School
