Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Anup Talao: the pond at the front. During the Mughal era the tank was filled with fresh rose water and the base of the tank was layered with silver and gold coins which shimmered in the sunlight.

Jehangir once emptied copper and silver coins of worth 1 crore and three lakhs into the tank. The platform in the centre was the most romantic place of the Sikhri fort. Mughal court singer Ustaad Tansen used to sit there in order to perform his raag.

Akbar along with his Queens and Mistresses used to enjoy his performance from the second floor of the Kwabhgah (dream palace).
