Description
English: c/n 1396.

Built in 1943 by Scottish Aviation in Glasgow. The Queen Bee was a remotely controlled version of the Tiger Moth, used as a gunnery training target. This example is known to have flown on such duties at least three times off Manorbier, This is a composite restoration which is allocated the British Aircraft Preservation Council identity BAPC-186. One of only two surviving ‘Bees’, she is on display in the newly completed Sir Geoffrey de Havilland hangar. de Havilland Aircraft Museum, Salisbury Hall, London Colney, UK.
