| Description |
Deutsch: Zwischen 1904 und 1906 gingen beim Kriegerdenkmal-Ausschuss Deutsch-Wagram mehrere Denkmalsentwürfe ein, obwohl keine offizielle Ausschreibung oder Aufforderung herausgegeben wurde. So konnte der Ausschuss auf eine Reihe ansprechender Projekte zurückgreifen. Einer dieser Entwürfe stammte vom akademischen Bildhauer Franz Seifert, bekannt als Schöpfer des Strauß-Lanner-Denkmals in Wien. Von ihm gab es zwei Entwürfe, letzerer erhielt die einstimmige Zustimmung und Anerkennung und wurde für die Errichtung ausgewählt. Dieses war der erste und nicht verwirklichte Entwurf des Denkmals der Schlacht bei Wagram. |
