Summary

Description	Deutsch: Denkmalgeschütztes Fachwerkhaus (gebaut um 1589) in Hauröden, Eichsfeld, Thüringen, Deutschland – Das Gebäude ist für das Eichsfeld einzigartig und steht auf der Liste der deutschlandweit 200 bedeutendsten denkmalgeschützten Fachwerkhäuser. Im Inneren befindet sich ein offener Kamin mit der Jahreszahl 1593. Eine wissenschaftliche Analyse der Eichenbalken bestätigte das Alter des Hauses (Baumfällung im Winter 1592). Eine zum Gebäude angefertigte Diplomarbeit brachte einen besonderen Aspekt zutage, der die geschichtliche Bedeutung des Hauses in ein neues Licht rückt: Der Burghauptmann der Wartburg bei Eisenach, Hans v. Berlepsch, bekam als Lohn für die Organisation der Entführung und den Schutz Martin Luthers während der Bibelübersetzung ein beträchtliches Vermögen. Dieses übertrug er seinen Kindern, die davon unser Herrenhaus in Hauröden errichten ließen.
